What makes Northrise Services (N. S.) unique is its purpose. The purpose of N. S. is to develop businesses as an alternative source of funding for Northrise University (a private university in Ndola, Zambia), while strengthening the advanced education and struggling economy of Zambia, Africa.
Northrise University owned businesses are critical to the success of the University. Because of the poor state of the economy, most Zambians cannot afford to pay tuition to attend classes. Since tuition alone cannot fund University operations, Northrise has had to find additional sources of funding other than donations. Therefore, N. S. has been created to help ensure that the University has the financial support it needs in order to continue.
In addition to helping fund University operations, N. S. plays other important roles. It provides practical experience to students, as they work in the field of business to earn their way through school.
Our Objectives
1. To help support Northrise University operations.
2. Provide practical opportunities to Northrise University students such as work study and internships to help students pay for tuition.
3. Create employment opportunities for Northrise graduates, resulting in economic revitalization in Zambia. Without job opportunities, an education and training program can be rendered impotent.
4. Serve as a business model to the local community.
5. Offer services to local and world-wide businesses.
